Mo Scollan lives and works in Austin,Texas. Combining inspiration from the natural world with the work of artists from the figurative art tradition,she produces paintings with influences as diverse as Susan Rothenberg, Gerhard Richter, Elizabeth Peyton, Lucien Freud, Marlene Dumas and The Bay Area figurative movement. All overlaid with the musical accompaniment of old school hip hop and soul and new school singer songwriters such as Elliott Smith, and Monsters of Folk.
